A senior Trump administration official projects that Huawei’s Ascend AI chip output will be at or below 200,000 for 2025, in a hearing with US lawmakers — The Chinese technology giant will be able to make just 200,000 of its Ascend AI chips in 2025, Commerce Under Secretary Jeffrey Kessler said Thursday at a Congressional hearing.
